Rita Coolidge is a singer-songwriter with an illustrious career spanning over five decades. Born in 1945 near Nashville, Tennessee, Coolidge's journey began singing in her minister father's choir and eventually formed the Coolidge Sisters with her sibling Priscilla in Memphis. After graduating from Florida State University, she was discovered by Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett, who enticed her to Los Angeles to sing on their 1969 debut album.

Coolidge soon became a sought-after vocalist, collaborating with notable artists such as Bob Dylan, Dave Mason, and Joe Cocker. Her soulful voice sent her 1977 album 'Anytime...
